Services provided by Jacksonville Hearing and Balance Institute (JHBI) are exclusively on disorders of the ear. Our professional staff is trained and experienced in the medical and surgical treatment of auditory issues, as well as the non-medical conditions associated with hearing loss and balance problems.
We perform a comprehensive battery of screening and diagnostic tests to help determine the extent and potential causes of all ear disorders. This includes everything from routine hearing tests for adults and children to more complex issues involving the function of the hearing nerve and brain.
Medical Treatment of Hearing & Related Disorders
At Jacksonville Hearing and Balance Institute (JHBI), we are trained to treat disorders of the ear and temporal bone. Although surgery may be required, many problems are managed by specific medical treatment.
Surgical Treatment
Many disorders of the ear and temporal bone may be treated medically. However, surgical treatment is also available.
Cochlear Implant Program
The Hearing Center at Jacksonville Hearing and Balance Institute’s (JHBI) Cochlear Implant Program helps our patients and their families develop the best treatment options to manage hearing loss and improve quality of life. Our team is committed to providing each patient with the best care and lifelong continuing assistance. JHBI is the largest private center for cochlear implants in this region and strives to provide compassion and understanding for each patient and his or her individual needs.
Balance Testing and Treatment
Because there are many potential causes of dizziness, vertigo, and imbalance, specialized testing is often necessary in making accurate diagnoses. Jacksonville Hearing and Balance Institute (JHBI) offers a full range of state-of-the-art balance and vestibular (inner ear) testing services.
Hearing Aids & Devices
At The Hearing Center, we offer a full range of hearing aid, cochlear implant, and implantable hearing device services.
Walk-In Repair Clinic
